Actually, Altimarlach is near Wick, Caithness .

There is a cairn there commemorating the last Clan Battle in Scotland --
correctly stated between the Glenorchy Campbells and the Sinclairs.  I have
seen both it and the old battlefield.

The Piobaireachd "The Carles with the Breeks" is supposed to commemorate
this  battle as the Sinclairs were in trews and the Campbells in Kilts.  The
tune is in fact much older than 1680 and is known from several European
sources as such. So History was being re-written as long ago as Altimarlach.
