Thomas Jefferson was a direct descendant of Catherine Sinclair, Duchess of
Albany her Father: Sinclair, William Earl of Orkney and Caithness,  her
Mother: Douglas, Elizabeth, Lady Married CIRCA 1475 to Stuart, Alexander of
Albany, Duke of Albany she had four children.  Jefferson  also could claim
decent from Charles, King of the Franks (Charlemagne).  Charlemagne sent
Philippe Sinclair,  the Earl of Tarrlington under the Mercian Kingdom of
Olaf, he  also contributed to Jefferson's blood.  Both Philippe Sinclair and
Charlemagne were descendants of Charles Martel.

Strangely enough The earl of Tarrlington spelt his name Sinclair

Jefferson had two streaks of Sinclair blood in him.
