Born during 1794 in Tarbert, Kintyre, Argyllshire.  Emgirated from Glasgow to Wilmington, North Carolina in August 1804.  Married Catherine McMillan.  Settled in Robeson County, North Carolina.  Father of Duncan and Mary.  Died 18 August 1880.

Cumberland Co., NC; Duncan 27; John C. 26; Isabella 24; Mary 22; Thomas 20; Elizabeth 15; Flora A. 10; Catherine 12; Margaret G. 7.  All children born in Robeson County, North Carolina. (St. Paul’s OPR and PC Mordecai Papers in Raleigh, NC).

Patrick Sinclair

Peggy Sinclair
Emigrated from Jura, Argyllshire (probably) on the General Wolfe, master J MacLean, to America.  Landed at Brunswick, North Carolina on 4 November 1767.  Allocated a 100 acre land grant in Cumberland or Mecklenburg counties.  (South Carolina Gazaette.1671) and (Scotch Highlanders in America: Cleveland, 1900).

Richard Sinclair
Born in Scotland.  Merchant in Charleston, South Carolina.  (South Carolina Probate Record dated 18 July 1733)
