Re: Temple

Dear Ward:

Thanks for the info. "Caveat Emptor" is all I can say. I have a MARCH
edition (#144) which I bought in an international magazine shop on 42nd
Street, New York, USA, which shows Austin Osman Spare on the cover. But
perhaps that store gets its copies from England, and not from FT's
American distributor. My issue does NOT show U.S. and Canadian prices on
it, so you're undoubtedly correct. That clears up one mystery, at least.
Now I know why I have only received a few contacts at the e-mail address
at the end of the article, all from the U.K. So: U.S. group members will
probably have to wait for another three weeks until the U.S. June issue
comes out if they buy their magazines anyplace but a shop that
specifically deals with international magazines.

To everyone in the U.S. and Canada: If you're about to buy an issue of
Fortean Times to read my article, make sure it's there on page 47, and
that it's called "Reader of the Lost Stone" (like Raiders of the Lost
Ark", ha, ha!).

I apologize to anyone who has already wasted $4.95 or $6.95 thinking that
they were going to read my article, and hope that the other articles in FT
are a partial compensation.

Thanks again, Ward. This was upsetting news, but better the
misinformation was nipped in the bud before it grew to full bloom.

All Best!

Jeff
