Re: Sinclair Genealogy Digest Number 11

To whom it may concern
We, my wife (of Sinclair descent) and I, were under the impression that this
list and its members were all about preserving and passing on the knowledge
of your family to your descendants. You all have a wealth of information on
a family that is old and somewhat well documented, a rich tapestry of
history, culture and life spread out for you and yours to marvel in.
Unfortunately due to childishness and selfishness much of that enviable
history could be lost to future generations if you all insist on behaving as
three year olds without any sense of sharing your toys. My wife's
information was started by her great uncle, who passed his information on to
his nephew (her Grandfather) who continued the search. This information lay
fallow in musty trunks rotting away until her interest was sparked. Does
this mean that she cannot use the info because she did not personally obtain
it, NO, I think not. That info was gathered in the spirit of preservation of
family and culture and as such her family has freely shared with any member
of the family that asked. If you cannot share in this spirit of preservation
than you are definitely in this for all the wrong reasons and should either
get out of an honorable past-time or prostitute your work as the
"professionals" do and accept payment.

Yours
Dana Kyler (Sinclair by marriage)
