Freemasonry is a secret society. It's inner mysteries are open only to members. Freemasonry is not a secret society. It is a society that has some secrets, notably its signs of recognition -- pass-words, hand grips, etc. Even these are really no secret as the rituals of Masonry can be found on the Internet, libraries and bookstores. A curious question; is Freemasonry only for Christians? Masons come from varied religous beliefs and creeds, includeing the major religions. To become a Mason, you must believe in a Supreme Being.
