UK General Election - Sinclair 1st!

Let us all congratulate Lord Thurso on his election as Member of Parliament
for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross (see www.caithness.org), a
Sinclair 1st! He gave up his hereditary seat in the House of Lords and now
is the first to have been elected to the House of Commons.  This will not
surprise anyone who attended the Clan Gathering last year where he impressed
us all as the Master of Ceremonies with his eloquence and oratory! Well
done!

And the first result in the election came in Sunderland 45 minutes after
polls closed.  Sunderland's Returning Officer who organised the count and
announced the result is Colin Sinclair!
