Slightly off Sinclairs

Sassenach = outsider/foreigner. If any of you have been caught up in
reading Diana Gabaldon's books - the first of the series is the
"Outlander". The word Sassenach is used for the nickname of the
heroine. Because of those books, I know what Sassenach means. Big
Grin!

On a more serious note - Nevin - My Arthur Sinclair came from Scalloway,
Shetland. He wore a ring that appears very much like the Baron Sinclair
of 1468(?). In Scalloway today is a Port Arthur and a place name
Sinclair - all a part (maybe?) of the previous Sinclair presence? Maybe
you have explained my Sinclair family presence in Shetland. for which,
thank you, Sally
