Yes, but the title of the song is 'Mary Hamilton' and it is Mary Hamilton
who is hanged for setting her illegitimate baby adrift on the ocean.  It
is Mary Hamilton who says, "Yestreen the Queen had four Marys, the nicht
she'll hae but three.  There was Mary Seton and Mary Beaton, Mary
Carmichael and me..."

I would therefore conclude the fourth Mary (the me) of the song is Mary
Hamilton?
