RE: Sinclairs in historical context

That's what Iam trying to do at the moment (and I'm sure a lot of others are
as well), with help from Ian Sinclair (Australian Genealogist). Fun is not
the only word I would use. Frustrating is another; you occasionally come
across people who don't want to help. Inconsistencies in records don't help
either - names (as I'm sure your all aware), birth dates on marriage and
death certificates being inconsistent, etc., etc., etc.... However, in the
end I'm sure it is all worth it!
What is PEI?
Here are some sites that mention Sinclairs you may all like to view (if you
fill in the gaps post them to Lena). Remember many computers make light
work:
most of these site are Northern Hemisphere, and so may not be too relevant
to Ian.

On the opportunity of organizing the PEI reunion, I have had a unique
opportunity to explore the recent genealogical biographies, and what I have
found is rather interesting and I would encourage others to do likewise. It
is fun from a genealogical perspective but for real fun and excitement try
starting back at the root (your pick) and working forward to the present
day discovering cousins. It is an idea worth pursuing, it takes time and
effort but has a value beyond words.
