Re: General St. Clair Descendent's

For what it is worth, please be extremely careful in accepting Morrison's
version of the parentage of Arthur St. Clair. Yes, an Arthur St. Clair was
born in Scotland and that is documented. However, his birthdate was not
that of our General Arthur St. Clair. The Arthur St. Clair branch who were
famed for American Naval
service stated that the Arthur in Thurso was their ancestor and I believe
that to be correct. This was the subject of my Family Mystery in
Sinkler-Sinclair-St. Clair: Update 1997.
