Joe Rice has the glass factory west of Elwood, Indiana. Joe's mother was a St. Clair. Except when my father asked Joe if he knew anything about the St. Clair name, he told Dad that when the family came to Elwood the priest told them they needed to change their name to one that would be more American, and that St. Clair would be good. Joe couldn't remember the original family name. Janet Thomas --- DSinc39156@aol.com wrote: > St. Clair glass is still alive and well in Elwood > Indiana, the place of my > birth.
