This particular bible was Lady Janet's and this was her history in her own hand of the births and deaths of her own children. It is therefore a primary source and quoted verbatim in Michinson's book. The fact that illegitimate children, if there were any, might not make it to this page is irrelevant to the question at hand which was: did Sir John have a brother James and the answer is yes if you can accept the source .. his own and James own mother. rory rory ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wanda Sinclair" <wanda.sinclair@3web.net> To: <sinclair@quarterman.org> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 6:53 PM Subject: Re: Sir John Sinclair's History of the Revenue. > The family bible is only primary, IF it was written at the time of the > event. > > If the hand writing is the same all the way through the bible, that makes it [ Excess quotations omitted. ] [ This is the Sinclair family discussion list, sinclair@quarterman.org [ To get off or on the list, see http://sinclair.quarterman.org/list.html
