There's another verse that goes like this, if I remember correctly: "One can only wonder At so absurd a blunder; George the Third Ought never have occurred" Or reasonably close to that. I wonder if there would have been any difference if the charismatic Guy Carleton was sent to the future US instead of Canada as opposed to the dour Thomas Gage (whose American born wife may have slipped intelligence to the colonists)?
