Dear Friends,
Sinclair's justified criticisms of the gross inaccuracies on the history
page of the new site for Clan Sinclair of Canada and Rory's reasonable
response taken together, auger well for the future.
The real history of the descendants of the St Clairs of St Lo needs no
embroidery, embellishment or mythology - taken as it is, warts and all, it
has already proved to be a source of fascination and interest to many who do
not bear the ancient names of St Clair, Sinclair, Sinkler or any of its many
variants.
Repeated inaccuracies inspire contempt and hinder the search for that
illusive quality known as truth.
