Dear Friends, While I am certainly among those who accept that Sir James Gunn accompanied Henry to America, it must be pointed out that this is an assumption, (probably first made by Lethbridge or Sir Ian Moncrieffe of that Ilk), and that there is not one shred of documentary evidence to support it. The assumption is based upon the identification of the Westford Knight as Gunn's memorial and the belief that Henry's expedition was the only one known to that area in that era which offered a reasonable explanation for Gunn's presence there.
