Any one know any thing about this man?
"Ewen Sinclair-MacLagan was a British Regular Army Officer. He served in
Australia for a
brief period after the Boer War, then returned to become Director of Drill
at the Duntroon
Military College shortly after it was set up.
He commanded the 3rd brigade at Gallipoli which put the first troops ashore.
By the end of the war he commanded the 4th Australian Division. He was the
only British
officer to retain a significant position in the AIF though out the war.
His quiet manner and military competence were respected by all the force."
