General Arthur St. Clair I believe was from Ligonier, PA. This is a very eary
St. Clair, born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1734 and died in PA in 1818. He was
married to Phoebe Bayard. Does this sound like the one you are looking for?
He had a son, born at Fort Ligonier in 1771, an Arthur who maried Frances
Stall of Cincinnati, Ohio. They had a son, Arthur, born 23 Aug 1803 in
Cincinnati. Supposedly the only surviving male descendants of the original
branches earing the family name were from John St Clair, b 2 March 1806.
