John Cleese
I remember Iain Laird mentioning that John Cleese' character, Basil Fawlty, was inspired by a run in with a Sinclair hotelier (not Ian of Noss). In Mr. Cleese' new movie, Rat Race, he is a Howard Hughes type excentric casino owner named Donald Sinclair.
