Re: Breaking News -- Chief Malcolm Elected to House of Lords

A Canadian spin on the House of Lords story. Today Conrad Black, a wealthy
newspaper baron of English and Canadian nationalities, is going into court
today in the private legal action against the Prime Minister of Canada for
preventing his accepting a peerage to the House of Lords. It seems that the
Cdn. PM confered with Tony Blair and blocked the appointment. Probably
something to do with the press coverage he has received from certain
newspapers. Now that the House of Lords is downsized and pending new
redefinition one may wonder what this fuss is all about..... any way this is
todays Canadian trivia perspective. The other aspect of note is that a
segment of the House of Lords is Britians highest Court of Appeal.
Have a good one
