As Ian noted: "The Cockerel was used as a fighting & gambling bird for many 
generations,and the Sinclair's were always fighting amongst themselves and 
against others , why not put the fighting rooster on the Sinclair Crest as a 
reminder of our prowess in our vulnerability in  love and war."
    There have been a few times that this theory would bear true for this 
list!!  Happy New Year to all!
