   November 16

   1093: Saint Margaret d., Feast day of the [2]saint who arrived in
   Scotland with the [3]Holy Rood and [4]William ``the Seemly'' St.
   Clair, later became Queen, and died in 1093.

   1272: Henry III d.,
   [5]King of England dies.

   1881: Apse added to Rosslyn Chapel, Francis Robert, 4th Earl of
   Rosslyn, [6]added the apse to serve as a baptistry with an organ loft
   above. On this date he writes to his architect Andrew Kerr, `I must
   say that the author pronounces your building a complete success.'

   1891: Buffalo Bill, [7]opens Glasgow season.
