Re: A.G.M. in Australia

To all Sinclairs and paragenetic Sinclairs <grin>
At 2pm this afternoon, Clan Sinclair Australia held the 1st Annual General
Meeting. We had a number of apologies, and several members present. There
were also a great many butterflies present unseen. Margaret has very sadly
for us, chosen to formally resign as President, but has agreed to remain
available as Genealogist and Editor of Chanticleer. I have taken over the
President's role, and we have a committee to carry on. I will, I hope, have
help from Meg from time to time as she is infinitely superior to me on
Internet Communication. Her knowledge and dedication to the Clan and the
family structures are far in advance of mine as well. Clan Sinclair
Australia could not have happened with out the work and time she has
devoted to it. At the AGM a motion of appreciation was moved, seconded, and
passed with acclamation and a Life membership awarded to her as some form
of thanks.
We are hoping to have some form of 'get-together' after our first Committee
meeting but not sure when that will be. We also decided to make an
arbitrary date for Membership Renewal - the first of June - and the AGM to
be the last week of May. That way we get to remind everyone about both
matters. The subscriptions will be the same as previously set.
Thank you for all the good wishes. (I hope it does rain soon in New Zealand.)

Jean.
