The 2000 signatories of the oath of allegiance to King Edward I of
England in 1296 produces a fascinating document for historians and

The site has a brief introduction to the Ragman Rolls and an alphabetic list of those who signed in both 1296 and 1291 - including some named "Seint Cler (Sein Cler)" and "de Sancto Claro" - based on the list published by the "Bannatyne Club" in Edinburgh in 1834.
