Re the Ark of the Convenant. It could never be put on any animal or a wagon.
It could only be carried by special priests. and on foot. There were special
rings on it into which poles could be slid facilitating its being carried
this way If you've seen the the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, Spielberg did
a pretty good job following the precise instructions in the Bible in creating
his version of the Ark.
