Money Pit in Indian Oceon

An article in the Life section of today's USA Today titled "Archaeologist
dive into a pirate's paradise" reminds me of the Money Pit on Oak Island.
According to the article, a scientific expedition has found tunnels on
Madagascar's "Pirate Island" that appear to be similar to those connected
to the Money Pit on Oak Island.
A ground-penetrating imaging device has found a 100 foot tunnel, a cavity
that could be a store house for treasure and a long gallery which may flood
at high tide to protect any treasure from intruders. Pirates had almost free
reign of the seas from about 1650 to 1725 so the elaborate tunnel structure
that the expedition team believes it has found likely dates from this
period. The team will return to Pirate Island next year to continue their
investigation.
