Chris,
     Have you thought about joining a genealogy society in Missouri?  I know
that ours here has whole file drawers of index cards made up from genealogy
charts that people submitted in the past.  An archaic system these days but
all they had to work with years ago.  Anyway there would be a possibility
that there would be information  that would connect these Sinclair folks.
    Also you could put queries in their quarterlies that might reach the
right people that are not into computers yet or will ever be as they grow
older.
