Electoral College

Since we are making analogies to sports, I thought I would include one of my own:

On the TNT/NBA Post Game Show last night, Kenny asked Charles Barkley if he still had political aspirations.  Sir Charles' answer:

"I don't want to play a game where the one with the most points loses."

Look at it this way.  World Series 4 out of 7 wins. So lets say the Yankees win and the Mets loose, but the total number of runs scored by the Mets actually out numbers the Yankees total number of runs scored.  The Yankees still win 4 games out of  7 and take home the trophy.  Also if you go by popular vote all "Fly Over States" would be ignored by the candidates and the large states and the East and West Coasts would be fought over for the plurality vote, making the rest of the country unheard.  Those dead white guys new something. John in SLC
