Very interesting, Malcolm, Rob, Tim, Marilyn, Randy and I walked (stumbled)
all over Oak Island
in the competent hands of Dan Blenkinship, who owns half of the island and
who has lived there for
two score years and more, and we didn't see anything which looked remotely
like a Gunn or
Sinclair coat-of-arms.

The reason why we have the Gunn coat-of-arms at Westford is because Sir
James Gunn died
there. I am quite sure that there would have been more than one Gunn and
more than one Sinclair
with Prince Henry and, on such an expeditiuon, there would have been many
deaths from scurvy,
dysentry, fever etc. The panacea for every illness was treacle and
sulphur. It was still in use in my
youth and it may still be in use today (under some pharmaceutical disguise).

More info on the coat-of-arms, please. I'm sure Dan and the rest of us
will be pleased to hear about it.

Niven Sinclair
