Re: St Clairs of the Isles--copyright matters

Dear friends,

Broadly speaking, Copyright remains with the author for his or her lifetime
and, thereafter, with the author's heirs or assigns for a period of 75 years
after the death of the author concerned. The p[robability is that copyright
to 'The Sinclairs of the Isles' is now in the public domain.Subject to legal
advice - and Euan Sinclair would be the best source for that - it would be
likely that re-publication by the Clan Sinclair Association would be
permissable - in which case copyright would rest with them for a reasonably
long period.

In view of the importance of the book, thisis a course well worthy of
investigation. I, for one, would love a copy.

Best wishes

Tim
