Many families from Orkney are entitled to wear the Sinckair tartan - see
Niven Sinclairs 'Beyond all Shadow of Doubt', the sectionon St Clair
ancestry based upon Nick Cram St Clairs work. Those who are so entitled are
septs of the St Clairs.
