Re: From Jean Sinclair

Hi Laura
and all my varied assorted close kin and distant kin,(and those that we
might have to DNA test to find a link)

I am a member of more than one organisation but only serve actively on one
or two because of all the things I have to do ( like any other human alive
at this time)

When Mark (my husband) and I went to England and Scotland after a
conference I had to attend, we met Niven for the very first time. He
introduced us to Roslyn and a greater depth of family history than I had
ever known. Dad was a Mason, but I didn't know of those connections then
either. We were more interested in our Tasmanian and Johnston heritage,
and even our Hogg.

Well the list has aroused my interest and awareness of the Clan and I am
now a card carrying Member of Clan Sinclair Australia and I am looking
forward to hearing the news of the Gathering. I couldn't attend because,
quite simply , I work and have responsibilities to patients. But it
doesn't mean that my thoughts are not with the fortunate 200 who will be
there - I'll be wondering where they are and what they are doing
throughout; and wishing.

So please understand, I am not involved in bagging the Associations. They
are important for keeping alive contacts that I would never have known I
had. (I didn't mention that Granpa Sinclair was one of 10. There are many
relatives I don't know about even yet.)

God Speed,

Jean Sinclair Stokes.
