Re: SINCLAIRs of ABERFOYLE (was Heartstopping news)

RE; Perthshire--Aberfoyle Sinclair's
Our records are not good before Duncan Sinclair of Perthshire branch
married Mary McGregor daughter of the elder son of Lieutenant Colonel
McGregor of James V11 Scottish army. His wife was a Campbell of Glenfallock
, a younger son was father of Rob Roy McGregor Campbell and thus Mary
McGreger was a cousin of Rob Roy. A church letter my grand parents lent to
Kalispell Sinclair's, and never came back, dated April 17 1822 Aberfoyle
states Duncan & Mary Sinclair lived a great number of years in the parish.
A daughter Isabella who was leaving with them . ( married Thompson ) McNabb
township near Ottawa & Arnprior Ontario. A daughter Mary born May 12 1771
at Glengyle Parish of Callander- descendants are the Carmichaels of Ottawa
district. John Sinclair married to Catherine Ferguson was born at Portnellan
baptized March 7 1785. Scotland. I am sorry but we nearly nothing on
Catherine Ferguson . Donald H Sinclair Swan River Man.
