Re: Genetic traits

not that I've really looked into this - because I am the last thing I am
interested in...but...

I was always told that my name "Cohn" was the same as "Cohen" but that some
people had dropped the "e". My family is descended from Polish Immigrants on my
father's side. My Jewish Grandfather was booted out of the matriarchial religion
here in Halifax around 1906 when he married a lady who wasn't Jewish. I was
confirmed and raised Presbyterian but I haven't set foot in my home church since
my father died about a dozen years ago. I do however, take communion at the
funerals of Catholic friends if the occasion moves me. I have attended synagogue
twice and visit churches or holy houses of any denomination for artistic,
educational and esthetic reasons - much more than sipritual.

I was always told that the name Cohen meant "rabbi"...I have done exactly no
research on this and so this is purely anecdotal...

                                            rob cohn
                                            still stuck in halifax
