Jeannie.
I was curious about the name
of your uncle John Andeson Sinclair.
I found a relative in my line
who was named Robert Leed Sinclair. I thought the Leed as a second name was
funny as it was more of a family name. It turned out after much investigation
that he was born / christened Robert Leed and, after the early death of his
father, migrated to Tasmania with his aunt Christian Sinclair and it appears
that he adopted the Sinclair name. This Robert Leed Sinclair died in New
Plymouth, NZ in the late Circa 1890.
I wonder if your John Andeson
was perhaps was born John Anderson and later adopted the Sinclair family
name.

I think he may have been called Robert Andeson
also, I do not know how old he was but my Father was born in 1907 and he
was quite a bit older
than him. He was married to Elizabeth and I think he had 2 sons at
least...one of them was called Peter and served in the Air force and I
believe was a /is a dentist..or this may be his
son.
Hope you can help.
Your cousin...Jean Sinclair

I am not very good at this, but I
wonder whether it is possible to trace my relatives in Dunedin? My
Grandfather was Robert Anderson Sinclair and he died 20th.
March 1921 at Back Road, ST. Margaret's Hope Orkney. My Uncle
emigrated to NZ in the 30s and lived in Dunedin.Yours in kinship.
Jean Sinclair.
