Please cite your source (not necessarily the original but where YOU
obtained it.
The article in the "History of Texas" was originally unearthed by Jerry's
mom and sent to me years ago.  Full circle, huh?  The history has been out
of print for years and usually can be found in the largest of libraries. 
Jerry, I have hit a gold mine on the North Carolina branches and it is
twining through states we never dreamed of.  A descendant of one of the
female branches lives here and I am stunned at what he says.  I am now
hiring a researcher to dig out the court records to prove it although I
believe he is absolutely correct.  Will let all of the N.C. branches know
what it results in.
