Thank you for your information. I guess my Sinclairs came to America sometime
between mid 1700s to early 1800s. First ancestor I show in America for my
particular line was onw Charles Sinclair married to Ann ? They lived in
Virginia. Their son Charles Sinclair born abt.1785 married Mary (Polly) Havens
on Aug. 6, 1801 in TN. Later they moved on to Illinois, MO., and Arkansas.

You haven't heard of the Scots name COLVIN anywhere near you have you? Have
some Scots relatives by that surname from Scotland, but not sure where.

My GGG Grandmother was the daughter of Charles and Mary Havens Sinclair, her
name was Naomi Sinclair born about 1809 we think in Illinois, she married
Henry Nidever. They migrated into east Texas during the mid 1800s.
