Said to be the wife of the Henry St.Clair who was said to be knighted by William Wallace and Sinclair ancestor Simon Fraser (who shared Wallace's grisly fate), "Saint-Clairs of the Isles" waits until almost the end of the book then adds in a note that she could be d/o John Fenton, sheriff of Forfar, who had a daughter Alicia and a son William (p.545). Anyone ever seen anything on John?
A John Fenton also signed the Declaration of Arbroath.
