Dear John:
This is a quote from the eulogy by Pierre Trudeau's son Justin at the
funeral two days ago.
The speech totally captivated the nation -- Justin spoke eloquently and
elegantly and emotionally. He has had up to now, zero public persona and he
has the people who run the party of his father, the Liberal Party, saying
such things as "Lets find him a riding". He is unlikely to take them up
on it -- he apparently values his privacy above all else.
Quite apt for some recent "bumptious" postings and thank-you John for
"keeping watch" although, in a perfect world, we should know how to "keep
watch" on ourselves.
