John Henderson, author of 'Families of Caithness' published posthumously 1884. Over his lifetime he was factor an many estates in Caithness and had access to all sorts of stuff. The St Clairs of the Isles repeats heaps of Henderson's material but adds far more too. Henderson's work is much shorter and concentrates on family lines whereas The St Clairs of the Isles covers a much wider spectrum of family history and genealogy, norse & norman origins, myth & legend, anecdotal stuff, poetry & song, overseas lines of Sinclairs, whatever. 558 pages of pure bliss! > ---------- > From: MoonFoods@aol.com[SMTP:MoonFoods@aol.com] > Reply To: sinclair@matrix.net > Sent: Thursday, 5 October 2000 13:32 > To: sinclair@matrix.net > Subject: Henderson > > Hello all- > Who is Henderson, who is referenced in "St. Clairs if the Isles..."?
