Dear Friends,
As Earl of Orkney, Henry St Clair was the leading nobleman of Norway,
entitled to wear a coronet, stamp his own coinage and entitled to the
honorific o fPrince. On all official State documents his signaturetook
precedence over all the Church dignitaries and aristorcracy and only took
second place to that of the Sovereign.
