Does anyone have any further information on the Peter Johns(t)on Sinclair
born c1823 who sailed out to Tasmania Australia in 1831? Please read below.

I have noted your request for info about Peter James Sinclair.
You may be on the wrong track, and i think the following will be of
interest.
Peter JOHNS(t)ON Sinclair was born Scotland C1823, migrated to Tasmania in
1831, Married in Hobart 10 October, 1844 to Mancell PERTON, and died near
Hobart 30 June 1895 aged 72 years.
He had several sons, one of whom married Alice Davis JEPHSON.
I have not yet proved that the name SINCLAIR was an adopted name and that he
was actually born / christened Peter Johns(t)on. This is because he sailed
out on a ship Minerva with (as the manifest shows) 2 brothers, one of whom
was named Robert Leed Sinclair. This 'brother' was born / christened Robert
Leed and after his father died at an early age he came to Tasmania with his
aunt Christian Sinclair.
This Christian Sinclair was my ggg grandmother - born 1775 Scotland, died
1843 Hobart, Tasmania
