The name is more likely to be James DUNNETT Sinclair rather than Dunnit.
The Sinclairs have intermarried with the Dunnetts. Indeed, the present
Lord Lieutenant of Caithness is Major Graham Dunnett who is married
to Kay Sinclair, the current Secretary of the Clan Sinclair Society of
Caithness.
