In contrast to the lone piper on the roof, we just attended a Burns
night in a mansion, where THREE bagpipes, along with penny whistle,
guitars and drums, played in a relatively small drawing room. They
certainly could not be accused of any lack of enthusiasm. I tried to
subtlety protect one ear with my hand, but my companion snuck out into
the hallway. It probably sounded wonderful from the neighbors' houses.
A memorable occasion!
