To all concerned re 'verk'
In Aberdeenshire 'work' has been said as 'verk' for many years. With T.V.,
and all the other modern communications, many of these colloquialisms
specific to various areas, are fast disappearing. I'm not familiar enough
with the Caithness dialect to know it 'verk' is/was used there, but I'm sure
