Interesting reading the mail about the saint. Surely an application could
be made to the Vatican Library for information on the history of the man.
And would it be possible to use an imaging technique to pick up whether or
not the carved date has weathered and is 3 or 8?
I'm trying to remember but I think it is infra-red imaging which will bring
up the traces of carving. Perhaps someone in the Clan may know more of
these archaeological techniques.
