Richard and other getting repetitious messages.
Is it possible that you are having the same problem I did?? I am not sure
that I can exactly explain what caused it but my server company said that I
was not waiting to let all the message download properly. When that
happens, your computer doesn't get the ending signal so the next time you
download your messages, here they come again ( like the New Carissa) even
though you know you have deleted them everywhere. Sometimes the cause of
this is a message with a problem inside itself that disrupts stuff and makes
it repeat. There is a way to get to that part of some or most network
programs that will let you manipulate this data and kick it free.
