My former grandmother-in-law was either a Regal or a Roache (sp?) after her
second marriage. Both she and her 2nd husband (Roache, I think) were born
in Ireland. Her first husband was German (Regal?) and she and he met on
Ellis Island. I'm sorry I can't remember which husband was which, however,
maybe this gives you two other groups so check. Maybe your husband's family
started out German or Irish and they just don't want to admit it! :) Good
luck. I'm sorry I can't be more help but it's been a long time since I
dealt with any of those people. Darwin
