In a book I recently saw at Borders , called "The Forgotten Monarchy of
Scotland" , the author states the Sinclairs became heredetary Templars when
they gave shelter to half the Templar fleet. He did not date the event. He
also claims the Newport , RI tower Sir Henry built is based on a Templar
