Hello, Ray,
Appreciate receiving your info re George, 4th Earl. It is a bit more
than what I have compiled. I do know that he was the son of John, 3rd
Earl and Elizabeth Sutherland. He married Elizabeth Graham and they
had 7 children. Also have an interesting story of his power as
Justiciary of Northern Scotland. William, 1st Earl of Caithness
married Margaret Douglas and Marjory Sutherland. Son William by
Marjory was 2nd Earl. He married a lady of the house of Keith and
their son John became 3rd Earl when his father fell at the Battle of
Flodden in 1513. John was killed when attempting to seize Orkney and
George, his son, succeeded as 4th Earl. I have some info previous to
this but have not sorted it out as yet. Would appreciate receiving
your descendant chart when compiled.
